(3)The ex-dividend date is 2004/05/24 and will pay out the dividend from 2004/05/25 (4)Starting and ending dates of suspension of share registration： 2004/05/20~2004/05/24(according 165,Company Law) 3.Countermeasures:N/A 4.Any other matters that need to be specified: According to the Financial Holding Company Act,the Board is entitled to make resolution on behalf of the Shareholders' meeting(2004/04/23). Important resolutions as follows: (1)Approval of the 2003 Operation Reports,the Financial Statements, and the Allocation of Earnings. (2)The total amount of the 2003 dividend is NT$525,506,242 and will be made in cash.The exdividend day will be decided by the chairman on behalf of the Board.
