On November 18, the China Association for Public Companies officially released the 2025 Outstanding Practice Cases for Sustainable Development of Chinese Listed Companies. Modern Dairy (01117.HK), with its outstanding achievements in smart farming digital innovation and advanced treatment of process emissions, was selected as an “Outstanding Practice Case for Sustainable Development of Listed Companies in China 2025”.

The company has achieved key breakthroughs centering on genetic breeding and digital farming: independently developed the “Modern No.1” genomic chip, pushing the dairy cattle breeding industry from “reliance on imports” to “independent and controllable”; at the same time, built smart platforms such as “Cloud Cattle Farming” and “AI Cattle Doctor”, equipping 60,000 dairy cows with intelligent collars to achieve health856 monitoring and precision feeding, comprehensively driving farm management from experience-based to digital transformation, demonstrating the company’s responsibility of technology empowering the industry and responsibility leading innovation.

In the environmental dimension, Modern Dairy was recognized for its achievements in pollution prevention and ecosystem protection. The company has built a green circular industry chain of “forage planting — dairy farming — manure treatment — biogas power generation — manure fertilizer returned to fields”, achieving 100% resource utilization of manure and wastewater. In 2024, biogas power generation exceeded 107 million kWh, and more than 8 million tons of organic fertilizer were promoted, with significant carbon reduction results. At the same time, the company actively conducts biodiversity assessments and ecological restoration, implementing manure fertilizer return-to-field and saline-alkali land improvement in Inner Mongolia, Tuoketo and other places, achieving a win-win situation of ecological benefits and increased agricultural income, and building a solid ecological barrier for the green development of pastures.
